Prayer to the Holy and Righteous Philaret the Merciful

O holy and righteous Philaret, who by thine own mercy didst please the merciful Lord! Even during thine earthly lifetime no-one who approached thee departed empty away. O thou who gavest to everyone according to his request, thou dost not leave even us bereft of thine alms. And falling down before thee we pray: In thy fervent intercession entreat God Who is worshiped in Trinity, that He send down upon us His rich mercies and grant all our petitions which lead to what is good and to our salvation; and that He grant comfort to the grieving, healing to the infirm, clothing to the naked, food to the starving, substance to the poor, recompense to those who labor, and, above all, unto all of us guidance toward the good, remission of sins and, after our death, an unhindered ascent into the heavens, that there, with thee, we may offer honor and worship to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
