Prayer To Our Venerable & God-bearing Father Job, Abbot & Wonderworker of Pochaev
Share

O venerable father Job, divinely wise instructor in the industrious monastic life, tireless struggler for meekness and abstinence, purity and chastity, brotherly love and love for the poor, patience and vigilance, from thine earliest youth to thy most advanced age, great zealot and insuperable champion of the Orthodox Faith, divinely radiant beacon of the land of Volynia and Galicia, and invincible defender of the holy Monastery of Pochaev: Look down with the eye of thy compassion upon us, thine unworthy servants, who every day earnestly have recourse unto thee, and upon these God-loving people who are gathered before thy Spirit-bearing and greatly healing relics and fall down with reverence before them; and in thine intercession before the Master Most High ask thou, for them and for us, all things profitable and useful for life and piety. Heal thou the sick, give courage unto the faint-hearted, console the sorrowful, help the oppressed, strengthen the weak, and raise up those who have fallen down; and by the grace given thee by God, grant unto everyone all things, each according to his need and requirement, for salvation of soul and health of body. O favorite of God, send up thine almighty supplications also concerning the land of Russia, that peace and tranquility, righteousness and mercy in its judgments, and wisdom and good prosperity in its counsels may again be continually therein; that loyalty may be established among good men, and fear and terror amidst the wicked, that they may cease from doing evil and do good; that the kingdom of Christ may grow and increase also in our land, and that God Who is wondrous in His saints may be glorified therein, to Whom alone—to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit—is due all glory, honor and worship, now, and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
